&lt;p&gt;Hi.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Project Description, &amp;quot;This application is designed to help automate the backup of Sql Server Databases to the local file system.&amp;quot; is a little misleading because the backup path is actually relative to the sql server.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You can use a unc path, but that is not really a &amp;quot;local file system&amp;quot; because it is actually relative to the sql server.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;For example, if I have a sql server running on a remote machine, I cannot back up a database on that server and expect the backup file to be placed on my local C:\ without using a unc path for example.&lt;/p&gt;
